Position Summary:
The Neuro Coordinator represents an RN leadership role whose responsibilities include coordination of supplies and equipment, in order to meet the clinical requirements of the assigned service line within Perioperative Services. The Neuro Coordinator assumes accountability for the overall functioning of the Neuro service line by acting as a resource person, and working in collaboration with Perioperative Services Management and Medical staff to assure quality patient care.
Reports to: Director of Perioperative Services
Qualifications
- 5 years recent experience in the Perioperative setting as a RN; variety in surgical experiences preferred
- OR Scrub experience preferred
- Experience in a management or leadership role preferred
- Demonstrated expertise in clinical practice with knowledge of surgical procedures and the supplies/equipment required
- Recent experience and responsibility for staff development (education/in-service) preferred
- Previous experience with acquisition of supplies/equipment and interaction with vendors preferred
- California nursing license
- Current BLS required
- Demonstrated oral and writing skills (English) required
- High school diploma required.
- BSN (preferred/within 5 years of hire)
- Functional Knowledge of Perioperative computer systems preferred
